Judaica Postcard Szatmárnémeti Synagogue 1940
This original, rare photo postcard is the city view of
Szatmárnémeti (Szatmar, today Satu Mare, Romania) with the orthodox
synagogue. Printed after the annexing of the city back to
Hungary, as part of a pact between Germany and Hungary.
With white imprint Szatmár Németi visszatért 1940. szept. 5.
Postcards of the Szatmar orthodox synagogue are extremely rare, the city
was famous for its active Jewish community and the Satmar Rebbe.
Mailed in 1940.
In excellent condition. Very rare!
